Johannesburg, South Africa. 13 August 2026. DRDGOLD Limited (JSE: DRD, A2X: DRD, NYSE: DRD) expects earnings and headline earnings per share to increase by between 85% and 95% for the year ended 30 June 2026, with production exceeding annual guidance and cash operating costs coming in below guidance.
Gold production of 155 577oz exceeded the upper end of guidance by more than 5 500oz, reflecting strong operational performances from both ERGO and Far West Gold Recoveries (FWGR). Cash operating costs of R967 544/kg were below guidance of approximately R995 000/kg.
“This is a pleasing outcome, particularly in a year in which we have been investing significantly in the future of the business,” said CEO Niël Pretorius.
“We produced above guidance, kept costs below guidance and maintained a strong financial position while progressing our growth programme. The gold price has been supportive, but the operational performance and the discipline with which we have continued to invest are equally important.”
Revenue increased by 42% to R11.2 billion, supported by a 40% increase in the average Rand gold price received and a 1% increase in gold sold.
Capital reinvestment increased by 57% to R3.5 billion, largely reflecting progress on projects at the core of DRDGOLD’s Vision 2028 programme.
Key milestones included first deposition at ERGO’s Daggafontein Tailings Storage Facility and the commissioning of the new elution circuit and smelt house at the expanded DP2 Plant, which poured first gold in July. Approval of the Water Use Licence for the Libanon reclamation pump station was also received in July, paving the way for the anticipated production uplift at FWGR.
DRDGOLD ended the year with R2.8 billion in cash and cash equivalents, after paying R779.3 million in dividends as well as funding its capital expenditure programme. The Group remained free of bank debt, with its available credit facilities undrawn.
